TECHNOLOGY – Scanning

At Dental Centre Peregian we have invested in some of the latest technology available in dentistry to provide the most comfortable and state of the art treatment possible. Recently we have incorporated digital 3D scanning into our practices. In terms of your patient experience it virtually eliminates the need for taking impressions of your mouth. Instead, what looks like a small torch can be gently maneuvered around your mouth whilst taking thousands of images of your teeth. It then combines these images to form a three-dimensional model of your teeth from which crowns. Veneers, bridges, occlusal splints and dentures can be constructed in greater accuracy than previously attainable.

The scanner can also be used to scan the entire mouth to aid our dentists in diagnosing and treatment for orthodontics and for digital smile design.

Digital Radiography

At Dental Centre Peregian we are pleased to be able to utilise digital radiography to image areas of the mouth to aid or diagnose and treatment planning for our patients as well as reducing the radiation exposure by 90% in comparison to traditional film x-rays. It enables instantaneous assessment and can be placed onto our television monitors for you to see. As they say a picture paints a thousand words and our treatment explanations can be made that much more understandable.

On Site Laboratory

At our Peregian Springs practice we have our own on-site laboratory in which we can construct study models, mouthguards, retainers, and whitening trays. This enables us to complete treatments for our patients in the quickest time frames possible.
